About TreatIBS
What TreatIBS is, who runs it, how to reach us, and what it is not.
On this page
TreatIBS is an informational magazine about irritable bowel syndrome. We curate research papers, clinical trial listings, news, and documented personal accounts about IBS and its management, and we write plain-language critiques of individual studies. We report what guidelines and studies say; we do not tell you what works for you. TreatIBS covers diet, supplements, mind-and-gut therapies, and lifestyle. It does not cover prescription medications or procedures.
How the site is run
TreatIBS is based in the United States and is independently run. There are no products for sale, no advertising, and no affiliate links. We are not affiliated with any clinic, laboratory, pharmaceutical or supplement manufacturer, or patient organisation, and we do not accept payment, free products, or sponsored placement from anyone.
The site is run by Harlan Rappaport, who reviews and approves every editorial page before it is published. Our editorial policy describes how content is sourced and produced, including where AI assistance is used.
